Peter Hillary
Peter Hillary is a mountaineer and philanthropist www.peterhillary.com who is the son of Sir Edmund Hillary, who was the first person to climb Mt Everest in 1953. Peter has been on over 50 mountaineering expeditions around the world including five on Mt Everest, skiing to the South Pole in Antarctica and accompanying his father and Neil Armstrong on an aviation adventure to the North Pole.
Peter is the chairperson of the Himalayan Trust that provides education, health and environment services for the people in the Himalayas of the Mt Everest region – all programmes are at their request and with their cooperation. www.himalayantrust.org

INCLUSIONS
· 10 days, 9 nights voyage aboard worldclass cruise
· Luggage handling to the ship on embarkation day, as well as shuttle transfer from a central location in Ushuaia (as shared in itinerary)
· Transfer to a central location in Ushuaia with your luggage on disembarkation day
· All meals aboard – breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon snacks
· Unlimited pours of beer, house wine, soft drinks, and spirits
· All Zodiac landings and excursions
· Polar Plunge (conditions permitting)

· Medical evacuation insurance up to $200,000 USD
EXCLUSIONS
· All flights and transfers
· Optional ship activities: kayaking, snowshoeing and other options available to book once on board
· Transportation of luggage in excess weight allowance
· Basic travel insurance which covers medical coverage of hospitalization and is required by the ship. (Insider Expeditions provides only Emergency Evacuation insurance).
· Food and beverage other than that specified in itinerary
· Expenses of a purely personal nature
· Costs associated with trip interruption or modification due to weather, travel conditions, political/civil disputes, medical emergencies, or other causes beyond our control
· Wifi (We recommend being as present and “unplugged” as possible for this once in a lifetime experience.) However, the ship is equipped with Starlink and speedy wifi is available. A 24 hour pass costs an estimated $150 onboard, and does not have to be used consecutively, so it would allow up to 3 hours a day which should be plenty for most travelers. Unlimited wifi packages are also available
· All gratuities and tips (not mandatory, but approx. $16 per person per day is encouraged to tip the crew at the end of your voyage, based on your experience)
· Laundry services (available for a fee onboard)

Glide through the waters and take in the royal grace of the icebergs, see the varied birds and seals, and maybe even the whales in their natural habitat under the supervision of experienced kayak guides, who will ensure your safety during each outing. In order to sign up for this activity you need to have previous kayaking experience, and attend a mandatory safety briefing by the Kayak Master.
The cost is US$345 per person per outing and can only be booked on board.
Snowshoeing is an activity that allows you to hike across soft, powdery snow up gentle slopes to reach to unique vantage points without the hassle of sinking into deep snow. Snowshoeing is as basic as hiking and you do not need to have previous experience.
The cost is US$225 per person.
